The Westerne Company was founded by Brad Carter — a hunter, operator, and brand builder who has spent over 20 years building businesses in the outdoor and western space.

The Company

Westerne started as a creative studio helping outdoor brands tell better stories. It has evolved into something bigger — a holding company that builds, owns, and operates a portfolio of connected brands across the outdoor and western space.

The thread connecting all of it is simple: build things that are useful, honest, and built to last.

We operate out of Star Valley, Wyoming — and everything we build is shaped by the country around us.

Founder & Principal

Brad has spent nearly two decades building and operating brands across retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, outfitting, media, and experiential businesses. Before focusing full-time on the Westerne portfolio, he served as EVP of Marketing at the Bronze Buffalo Club Companies — one of the premier luxury sporting club operators in the country — where he spent a decade scaling brand, marketing, and growth across multiple properties.

He founded The Westerne Company to do the work he actually believes in — building useful, honest brands that hold up in the real world and last longer than the trend cycle.

Unlike traditional agencies, Brad works directly with clients from strategy through execution. No handoffs. No dilution. No guesswork. Just clear thinking and work that performs.

He lives and works in Star Valley, Wyoming.
